We’re Here (…written a week later)

by in Family

Hey Everybody.  We finally made it to Campbell.  It’s been quite fun…and crazy.  The drive up was packed.  We were not sure we would make it.  Actually, we sorta didn’t make it.  We threw away some stuff, and my (Jenny’s) parents are bringing some stuff up with them when they visit in a little over a week.  I had the cats with me, and Mindy (the older one) was meowng like crazy for the first hour.

When we got up here, we unpacked a little and then headed over to some friends from church’s condo as they were packing up to head off to Iowa.  We met our neighbors that are directly above us.  They’re names are Brad and Corrie, and he is the youth pastor at the church (Orchard) where Crossings Community, our church, is held.  They seem like a really neat couple and are similar in age to us.  We look forward to getting to know them and having some friends so close by to us.

We were able to go visit Eric’s family Fri-Sat and take his little brother home with us to stay for part of the week.  It’s fun (especially for Eric) living closer to them and being able to see them a little more regularly.  Marcus has been a trooper helping us unpack a lot and also enjoying “24” video game that we rented.

It rains a lot up here.  We’ve enjoyed I think 2 days of sunshine and quite a few of rain.  From what people have said, we’ve gotten more rain this year than Seattle.  Crazy, I think it was something like at 7″ more.

We have a whole bunch of boxes left to put away.  Eric & I both want to get it done soon and then try to make this place into more of a home atmosphere than the last place we were.  We had so many unorganized boxes of junk that we went through and organized in this move.  Hooray for organization!

I know that I have been so scattered in my thoughts in this blog.  My next blog will probably be an emergent church blog, so look forward to an actually formulated train of thoughts.

Till then.–Jenny
