Moving Update
We are t-minus 32 hours and counting until we wave goodbye to Santa Clarita, and hello to Campbell.
We have been packing, sorting, throwing away and cleaning for over 12 hours today, and have been going non-stop since Friday – our weekend schedule has been really hectic.
Friday: Last day of work – got home around 6pm. 7pm was a get together with some of our closest friends and family followed by a late night of visiting in our messy, torn apart apartment
Saturday: Jenny’s family and our friend Dan came over and helped us pack up a wide variety of things – spare closet, bookshelves, spare bathroom, etc. After spending the whole day packing, we want to go to the movies to unwind a little bit, but the movie we wanted to see was sold out so we got chinese food, came home and watched some tele.
Sunday: Jenny was asked to sing in church during the worship sets – this was a cool opportunity for her because it was our last Sunday at Grace Baptist (as members). Steve Lively (close friend of Jenny and choir director) said some pretty nice things about her too. Then we scurry home for a quick lunch and then head over to Jenny’s parents house for the final recital for her piano students. After this we come back home for a couple hours and packed some more stuff before we had to run over to Wild Thyme for a "goodbye" dinner with her parents, sister and grandparents. It was really relaxing and a lot of fun.
Monday: We intended to sleep in, but woke up at 7:45am and were wide awake so we started packing. It is currently 11:21pm and we’re toast.
Tomorrow morning we pick up the truck and start hauling things out to it.
Wednesday we leave at 7am.
Crazy times – Praise the Lord.
