Well, it’s another week of food, and, yet again, I am in the mood for comfort food. I think I’ll probably be back to my eccentric gourmet style next week. I’m sorry to those who have come here and found nothing to read. Things have been so busy recently, and I am trying to get back to posting! Well, here’s the menu.

Friday–Baked French Toast and Quick Caramelized Apples

Saturday–Franciscan night bbq, BYOM style–We’re bringing lemon garlic t-bone steaks and, since I am bringing the appetizer, a duet of savory and sweet popcorn

Sunday–Peppered Turkey Breast, Smoked Cheddar penne and cheese, grilled red bell peppers

Monday–Film and lit class means packaged–Eric gets okami california rolls and I get a teriyaki bowl

Tuesday–Grilled cheese and tomato soup, Apple Crisp with french vanilla ice cream

Wednesday–Albacore with Spinach, red bell peppers and lemon slices en papillote (We loved this last time I made it, so we’re having it again!)

Thursday–Herbed Chicken and Mashed Potatoes

Well, happy friday! Enjoy the weekend.

Yeah the albacore & spinach dish. I don’t even want to know what papillote is ;)

Alright–for anybody wondering, “en papillote” means “on a pillow” in french. Essentially what I do is layer spinach, red bell pepper strips, marinated albacore, cilantro and lemon slices inside of a pillow made from aluminum foil with white wine and a little marinade. I then seal it all airtight and then bake it until it puffs up like a pillow. This lets me know that it is done, and when I take out the individual pillows, they are just bursting with flavor!
