The Story of Three

…a Caramel Apple Cider from Starbucks! Yesterday, I woke up to the most beautiful change. The day before had been pretty warm in the afternoon. I was wearing a skirt and flip flops, drinking iced tea and thinking about when fall would come. Then, the very next day, I woke up to cool and crisp air, gusts of wind and colorful falling leaves. It was autumn, and it had changed overnight! I have to say that from now through Christmas is my favorite time of year! I am so looking forward to it! I wore a long sleeve shirt and was still cold when I was filling up at the gas station! Mmmm. So I had a Caramel Apple Cider to celebrate, and this morning I made myself pepperming hot chocolate and curled up with my blanket while planning my meals. I am ecstatic!

In the last few weeks, I have grown very antsy to get everything organized! I had boxes of loose sheet music and lots of books, crafts, photos, memory items and many other things. A couple weeks ago, my husband and I went and bought some notebooks for me to organize my music. I went to town over the next few days getting everything in place in the notebooks, but now I have nowhere to put them. Well, we are planning an organization day for tomorrow to finish everything! Today and later tonight, I will be hitting up Michaels, the Salvation Army and IKEA with a list of needs in order to get everything in its place!

You might be thinking, how is this frugal? Well, let me tell you, there are many times I have spent money on things I haven’t needed, but the items I could have used instead were buried in one of the many boxes sitting in our office! I have also wasted paper writing out chord charts for music that was already printed out. I have bought cards when I have had cardstock, ribbon and scissors sitting in a crafts box somewhere! Well, no longer. There are so many inexpensive ways to organize, and I intend to use many of them within the next few days! I can’t wait!

If you have any good tips for me on how to keep everything better organized, please do tell. I would love to go into Office Organization Weekend 2007 with a better understanding of how do this well.
