Frugal Fridays: Updates and Deals!

Frugal Fridays: Updates and Deals!

So….last week I made mention on selling books. As of thursday night, I’ve sold 8 books and made $58. It’s so exciting to make money from a desire to get rid of clutter!

As far as the deals, I’ve found some good ones recently.

*Share Senseo–I answered a few questions and am receiving a free Senseo coffee maker and bag of coffee pods for only the cost of shipping!

*Free soyjoy bar! Check your Smart Source coupons from this last Sunday’s newspaper. There’s a coupon for a free Soyjoy bar. No purchase necessary.

*Free Peet’s coffee drink if you signup for their newsletter in store. They’ll email you a coupon for a free drink!

*Target deal–They’re selling 3-packs of both Secret Platinum Protection and Old Spice High Endurance for $3.99. I know that it’s possible to find it for cheaper if you have a CVS nearby, but, as I am unlucky in that area, this is the best deal I’ve found around here!

*Old Navy major clearance sale–You can get some great deals at these sales. I’ve walked away with shirts for pennies. Literally. Check it out here.

Let me know if you see any more deals. Enjoy!

Frugal Fridays: Selling books to make money

Frugal Fridays: Selling books to make money

Well today was a big day for me to get organized! I spent some of the day going through all the books in our library. We have so many that they don’t all fit in the bookcases! I guess we must be readers around here. So….I pulled out all these books that I’ve held onto since high school/college and don’t have any intention of ever reading again. My dh had a good amount of those too, so he pulled those out when he came home from work.

Well, I listed all that were able to be listed on half.com, and it turned out that we had 74 books to sell! Half of them had never even been cracked open, and some I was very glad to be rid of. Well, I’ll just have to see how many sell, but I can say that, if all of them sell, I’ll have a few hundred dollars of extra money to do with as I please. I’m trying to find creative ways to make money without sacrificing more time because we are in need of new dishes and a couple more household/furniture items.

If you’d like to take a look over the books, here’s the link to my selling site:

There’s quite a few $0.99 cent books on there! (Just as a disclaimer, some of the books–Short Cuts, in particular–I do not endorse. We had to purchase a few of them for my husband’s schooling. Check with me if you have any questions about the books.)

Any other great ideas for quick and simple moneymaking?
