The Story of Three

..in the USA.

Yep, our flight was cancelled due to heavy snow. Bummer, right? Well, the second I learned that, I started calling Virgin Atlantic’s US reservations office, and 2.5 hours later, I made it past the busy signal to sit on hold. After another 2 hours of sitting on hold (that felt like eternity), I finally got a real person to talk to.

I think she could tell I was ridiculously excited about talking to her, and she was super nice and helpful. And….30 minutes later, we were booked for a flight from Las Vegas to London Gatwick (two airports that we were notplanning for). However, it was that or wait 2 extra days to leave, so we went with it.

Well, everyone, tomorrow morning we leave from San Jose for Vegas en route to London. A day late, but we’re so happy to be going!

Packing for two to spend three weeks in two foreign countries is, well, daunting. Also, since we were so busy last week, I have TONS of laundry to do before we leave. We’ve planned out our packing list pretty well, so hopefully everything works out in the end, and the daunting part of it has more to do with the idea that I’ll forget something MAJOR.

All in all, I’m sure it’ll be fine. We’re only bringing a week of clothes and will wash them in our apartments over there. And really….it’s not like England and France are third world countries. We can always purchase if we need to. I just hope we don’t need to.
